A two day 1:1 cake painting class is perfect for you if you wish to really get to grips with painting on to cakes and would like to build up your confidence before attempting a cake design.
Day one I will teach introduce you to the materials and get you painting onto iced boards. I will show you different techniques that I use to achieve my designs. I will demonstrate and explain in detail how I create my artwork, we will paint my signature rose and build up the layers. We will practice leaves....I love leaves....just saying.
Day two you will get to paint one of my cake designs, feeling more confident than ever! Well you may be a little bit scared still, but I will be there to support you and to make you believe in yourself! I will guide you step by step through the design, help you in any areas that you are struggling on by demonstrating onto an iced board.
At the end of day two you will have a good understanding of:
How to Use the paints effectively
How to care for your brushes
What different paint consistencies achieve
How to build up a Rose and an understanding of its shape and layers.
How to paint leaves like its nobody's business!
You will also get to take home some dusts and cocoa butter to practice.
The class will run for approximately 5.5 hours a day.
A light lunch will be included.
