Terms and Conditions
As we use nuts, dairy, soya and gluten in our kitchen we cannot guarantee that our cakes will be free of these ingredients. Therefore we do not currently offer Dairy/gluten/soya/nut free cakes.
Cakes with fresh flowers / inedible items
If you choose to have fresh flowers on your cake please arrange this with your florist. Some flowers are not safe to use on cakes so you must check the flowers that you wish to have are suitable.
We use inedible items in/on/around our cakes such as ribbon, wires ad dowels. We will notify you if your cake has any inedible items. Details are provided with the cake upon delivery/collection. After delivery/collection it is no longer our responsibility to make sure these items are removed prior to cutting.
Wedding cakes with more than two tiers must be delivered to the venue by us.
Your order may be collected at a pre arranged time.
A signature is required upon collection confirming that you have received your order in good condition and as specified.
You must transport your cake on a non slip flat surface ( foot well or boot)The cake should be kept out of sunlight and should be kept in a cool, dry place.
Once the cake has been collected/delivered it is no longer our responsibility.
Delivery and set up
We currently only offer a delivery service for our wedding cakes.
Delivery and set up within a 10 mile radius of Dorchester town centre is included in our wedding cake prices.
Any additional miles are charged at 1 pound per mile for the round trip.
It is the you, the customers responsibility to ensure we have been given the correct delivery information.
We accept no responsibility for any loss incurred by the customer as a result eg.wrong venue, unable to enter venue.
Once we have set up your cake then it is not to be moved or altered in any way. It is no longer our responsibility once we have set up the cake.
We cannot be held responsible for any occurrences after set up that may affect the stability or structure/ appearance of the cake.
It is important to choose an area where the cake will not get too warm or be in direct sunlight. A covered table should be ready upon our arrival to set up your cake. We will not be held responsible for any problems that may occur due to the stability/level of the table/surface that the cake is displayed on.
It is you, the customer who is responsible for making sure that delivery and set up of the cake is possible at the agreed time.
We like to have 1.5 hours time to set up dependent on the cake design. Set up time may alter.
They should be placed in this environment as close to guest arrival as possible as they are more likely to be affected by the weather if it is a warm day. Naked wedding cakes will dry out faster in an outside environment.
Wedding cake ( and orders over 150 pounds) Deposits and payments.
Wedding cake orders require a non refundable deposit of 50 pounds or 25% of the total fee (whichever is greater)
No order is booked until a deposit is paid.
Full payment must be made no later than 4 weeks prior to delivery/ day of wedding.
If full payment has not been received by the due date ( 4 weeks prior to date of wedding) it is assumed that the cake has been cancelled.
If after the 4 week deadline you try to make a payment, we reserve the right to refuse your trade.
Any changes to your order must be made no later than 4 weeks prior to the date it is required. Please note that some changes may incur an additional fee.
Cancellation of Wedding cake orders or other orders over £100
If you wish to cancel your order please note that the deposit is non refundable. Any other monies paid will be refunded providing the cancellation is before the 4 week deadline ( 4 weeks prior to the date the order is booked in for delivery/collection)
If you cancel within the 4 weeks prior to the wedding date, full payment will be due.
Birthday/christening/ other order deposits and payments
All other orders require a non refundable deposit of 15 pounds or 25 % of the total fee ( Whichever is greater)
No order is booked until a deposit is paid.
Payments can be made in cash or bank transfer.
All cake orders( except wedding cakes or cakes orders over the value of 100 pounds) must be cancelled no later than 48 hours prior to collection. If a cancellation is made after this deadline then the full payment will be due.
If you wish to cancel your cake and do so at least 48 hours before the due date, then any monies paid other than the non refundable deposit, shall be refunded.
In the very unlikely event that you are not happy with the taste or texture of your cake, please return the cake (at least 75% in tact ) within 48 hours so it can be inspected. A refund will be provided if a cake is returned and we agree that we are at fault. A refund cannot be given if the cake has been eaten.
